Friends of Port library to host fundraiser

The Friends of the W.J. Niederkorn Library will hold a Giving Tuesday event at Inventors BrewPub from 5 to 8 p.m. Nov. 28.

The event is intended to raise funds to support library programming not typically supported by taxpayer dollars.

The Friends group helps fund the children’s summer reading program, other teen and adult programs and the new Library of Things Collection.

For every $20 donated, donors will receive a free drink token to be used that night.
