Free classes for officials offered online

The National Federation of State High School Associations is offering free online education courses for current and prospective high school sports officials.

The 11 courses are available on the Learning Center at www.nfhslearn.com. They are free through July 1.

Courses are offered in basketball, football, soccer, swimming and diving, volleyball, wrestling and softball. A general class called “Interscholastic Officiating” is also available.

The NFHS is not charging for the courses because the coronavirus pandemic is causing people to stay at home indefinitely.

After taking any of these courses, individuals interested in becoming an official may access visit www.HighSchoolOfficials.com for more information.
