Fredonia Lions Club  welcomes new leaders, honors one of its own

The Fredonia Lions Club installed its new board of directors and officers during a June 26 meeting at Plier’s Full Circle in the Town of Port Washington. Leading the club for the next year are (lower photo front row, from left) Lion Tamer Paul Thill, President Bob Morris, Past President Chris Jante, Second Vice President Kathy Shoemaker, Tail Twister Walter Chamley, board member Jim Kovach, (back row) board member Rick Shepherd, Third Vice President Rich Schommer, board member Brian Conrad, First Vice President Ron Theisen, Treasurer Greg Feidt, board member Doug Hartmann and Secretary Al Krier. Second Vice District Gov. Clint Kempfer (far right, back row) joined the club for the installation. Also at the June 26 meeting, club member Brian Conrad (far right in photo above) was presented with a Birch-Sturm Fellowship award by Morris and Kempfer. Created by the Wisconsin Lions Foundation, the fellowship honors those who exemplify a commitment to humanitarian service to their club, state and Lions International. It includes a $1,000 donation in Conrad’s name to the Lions Club International Foundation.
