Fredonia to host its first illuminated trail park walk Saturday

A winter candle-lit walk will be hosted by the Village of Fredonia and the recently established Friends of Fredonia nonprofit organization at 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, in Marie Krause Park.

Six hundred lights will illuminate the park’s trails, and a bonfire and hot chocolate will greet participants at the end.

The event is the village’s first winter walk, although village officials hope to turn it into a yearly tradition.

Donations will be accepted for Friends of Fredonia, and non-perishable food donations will be accepted for the Ozaukee Food Alliance.
