Football realignment is approved by WIAA
The WIAA Board of Control this month approved the new football-only conference realignment that will start with the 2020 season, according to the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association.
Port Washington moves to the East Central Conference with teams such as Plymouth and Kewaskum. Grafton moves to the Woodland East Conference with teams such as Greenfield, Greendale and Wisconsin Lutheran.
Port and Grafton — historic rivals — still could face off in a non-confernece game.
The Big East Conference — with Cedar Grove-Belgium and Ozaukee — returns to eight teams.
