Food Pantry to host beer garden, expand hours
The Port Washington Food Pantry is hosting the first Port beer garden of the season from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 4.
The beer garden is in Upper Lake Park. Those attending are asked to bring lawn chairs to help with social distancing in light of the coronavirus pandemic.
The pantry is also expanding its hours to help meet increased demand.
The pantry, which has been open from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesdays, will also be open from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays beginning July 7.
The Food Pantry is at 1800 N. Wisconsin St., in donated space in the basement of the rectory for St. John XXIII Parish.
The pantry distributes food to people of all faiths who live in Ozaukee County. Food and household items are being distributed curbside with drive-up service now due to the pandemic.
Anyone coming to the pantry for the first time is asked to bring proof of residency.
