Fishing on thin ice
Surrounded by puddles of water from melting snow and ice, Bill Nosko fished on the Milwaukee River in Waubedonia Park in the Town of Fredonia on Jan. 28. At that time, the ice was 3 to 4 inches thick, and Nosko noted that he was not terribly concerned because he was fishing in only about three feet of water. But with above freezing temperatures since then, the ice cover has undoubtedly decreased. Photo by Sam Arendt
