Female veterans are topic for Jan. 20 talk

Female veterans and soldiers will be the focus of the 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20, meeting of the Metropolitan Milwaukee Military Historians.

A panel of women will represent the various branches of the military and address why they decided to enlist, why they chose their respective branches, their training and duties and where their deployments took them at home and abroad.

  There will be an extended question and answer segment and include an open mic time for any women veterans in the audience.

  Admission is $25, which includes a buffet dinner and the speaker’s presentation.  A limited number of $10 seats are available for just the speaker’s program.

Doors to the Rose-Harms American Legion Hall, 1540 13th Ave., open at 5:15 p.m. Dinner begins at 6:30 p.m.
