Feasting for Felix on Aug. 23 to benefit Humane Society

The seventh annual Feasting for Felix, a fundraiser to benefit homeless animals, will be held Thursday, Aug. 23, at the Ozaukee Humane Society in Saukville.

The fundraiser, presented in memory of a dog named Max, will run from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The event will feature food tastings from area restaurants, along with live music by Frogwater, beer and wine, a raffle, wine pull and plenty of four-legged friends.

The participating restaurants will compete for awards selected by local celebrity judges.

The participating eateries include Anvil Pub & Grille, Atlas BBQ, Barefoot Wine, The Chancery, The Fermentorium, Firehouse Restaurant, First Watch Café, Harvey’s Central Grille, Highland House, Milwaukee Ale House, Out & Out, Pourvino Winebar & Bistro, Tello’s Grille & Café, The Stilt House and Twisted Willow.

Last year’s event featured vegetarian macaroni and cheese, corn cakes, tacos, pie shooters and more than 20 other dishes. It attracted more than 200 people and raised more than $18,000 for the animals.

Tickets are $40 per adult in advance or $50 at the event and $20 in advance for children younger than 12 years old or $25 at the door. Couples tickets are $75 and are only available in advance of the event.

Tickets can be purchased online at wihumane.org or at the Wisconsin Humane Society.
