Family Services plans new programs

Ozaukee Family Services is planning several new parenting programs for 2023.

The Diaper Bag Club will meet from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on the fourth Wednesday of each month starting in January.

The group is intended for caregivers and children through their first year. Caregivers may share their joys and challenges and receive helpful feedback from each other and the facilitators in a safe, non-judgmental space.

Monthly topics such as sleep, first foods, temperament and brain development will be addressed as well.

“Parenting: You Are Not Alone” is an in interactive parenting series held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on a Thursday each month.

On Jan. 19, the topic will be “Managing Your Child’s Anger” and on Feb. 16 it will be “Parenting Your Young Child Through age 5.”

The April 20 session will be on “Parent-School Partnership” and on May 11 the topic is “Navigating the Middle School Years.”

Each session will include a presentation followed by break out sessions allowing for sharing and open discussions.
