Falls prevention classes will be held this spring

Two seven-week fall prevention classes will be held this spring in Ozaukee County.

One class will run from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.  Wednesdays from March 20 to May 1 at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton.

The other will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesdays from April 23 to June 1 at Range Line School in Mequon.

The program, which has been proven to decrease the incidence of falls, will teach ways to improve balance and strength, home modifications, community safety, vision, medication review, safe footwear and sleep.

There is no fee but a $10 donation is suggested to cover the cost of materials.
