A Town of Fredonia man was taken by a Flight for Life helicopter to Froedtert Medical Center in Wauwatosa on Monday after he fell from a feed bin, the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office reported.

According to a press release, deputies responded at 3:18 p.m. to N6860 Oriole La. after 58-year-old Brian Huiras fell when the bin broke from its mount while he was on top filling it. He was thrown about 20 feet.

Huiras suffered a “severe laceration” to his hand and complained of severe back, leg and side pain, the press release said.

He was transported by Waubeka Rescue to nearby Hartman Sand and Gravel, where he was then transferred to the Flight For Life helicopter for treatment at Froedert.
