Estate planning is topic for workshop

“The Seven Threats to your Estate Plan” will be the topic for a 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, workshop at the Port Washington State Bank Community Room in Port Washington.

Attorney Matthew Kaplan will discuss the basics of estate planning, how to control assets while you’re alive as well as if you’re disabled and after you die, the legal documents needed, the benefits of trusts, how to avoid probate, how to protect assets against the cost of long-term care, divorce, creditors and taxes and how to quality for Medicaid assistance.
