Entertainment options abound in village and town this weekend

Harrington Beach State Park in the Town of Belgium has a couple of special events planned during the Wisconsin State Parks Open House on June 2 and 3.

Admission is free to state parks, forests, recreation areas and trails on both days, and fishing is allowed without a license.

On Saturday, Department of Natural Resources Anthony Young will conduct a fishing clinic at Puckett’s Pond from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Lunch and giveaways are included. Call 262-993-0078 to register.

On Sunday, the Friends of Harrington Beach State Park will hold a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon at the Ansay Center. Freewill donations will be accepted.

Summer Nights LIVE kicks off in village park

Summer Nights LIVE, a music, food and activities event, will be held three times starting on Friday, June 1, in Community Park.

From 6 to 9 p.m., two bands will perform. The blues and rock trio DocRube will be the headliner, and the traditional Irish band Tuesday Afternoon will open.

Festivities include a beer garden featuring Bofferding beer from Luxembourg, concession stand, bounce house and playground, a market featuring various vendors and kickball and cornhole games.

The Belgium Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting the beer garden.
