About one-third of the 26-member Ozaukee County Board will turn over this month following the results of Tuesday’s election.

Eight new supervisors will be seated on Tuesday, April 16, according to the unofficial results tabulated by the Ozaukee County Clerk’s office.

Three other incumbents staved off challengers.

Contested races that produced new supervisors were:

• In District 10 in the Town of Grafton, Dan Vogel, a town Plan Commission member, outpolled retired nuclear engineer Doug Johnson, 597 votes (58%) to 425 (41.3%). Vogel will replace Paul Melotik, who stepped down from the County Board after being elected to the state Assembly last year.

• In District 16 in Cedarburg, challenger Connie Kincaide, a Cedarburg School Board member, defeated incumbent Shannon Whitworth, an attorney, 603 (53%) to 531 (46.8%).

• In District 17, also in Cedarburg, Jack Arnett defeated Peter Eisenhauer, 538 (55.6%) to 423 (43.7%). Arnett and Eisenhauer outpolled incumbent David Irish in the February primary to advance to Tuesday’s general election.

• In District 20 in Mequon, challenger Ariba Khan defeated incumbent Michelle Godden, 383 (54.6%) to 314 (44.8%).

• In District 24, Jeffrey Hansher defeated incumbent Jim Krane 438 (57.3%) to 316 (42.4%).

• Town of Belgium Supr. Thomas Bichler was elected in District 1, representing Belgium and replacing Tom Winker, who chose not to run again. Bichler was unopposed.

• Fredonia Village Trustee Bruce Paape was elected in District 2 in Fredonia, replacing Joshua Haas, who chose not to run again. Paape also was unopposed.

• In District 13 in the Village of Grafton, Claude Taylor was unopposed. He will succeed John Hagen, who opted to not run for re-election.

In races where incumbents faced opposition but were re-elected:

• District 3 incumbent Barb Jobs in the Town of Saukville staved off a challenge from local orchard owner Art Laubenstein, defeating him 526 votes (56.8%) to 399 (43.1%).

• In District 5, Saukville businessman Don Clark, the incumbent, defeated Saukville Village Trustee Trever Seitz, 376 (68%) to 174 (31.5%).

• In District 19, incumbent Bruce Ross defeated Dan Eastman, 595 (61.4%) to 367 (37.9%).
