Ecumentical Worship by the Water to be held in Port
An ecumenical worship service will be held on the Port Washington lakefront from 5 to 5:30 p.m. on Saturdays, July 27 and Aug. 24.
The service, held on the lawn north of the marina office building, will include music, scripture, prayer and a brief message.
The message will be presented by the Rev. Janet Hartzell on July 27 and the Rev. Michelle Freeman on Aug. 24.
Those attending are asked to bring a chair or blanket to sit on.
A freewill offering will be taken to help the Great Lakes Sport Fishermen raise money for a fishing trailer for disabled veterans.
The service is a nondenominational event hosted by Christ the King and Living Water Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Parkside United Church of Christ, Grand Avenue Methodist Church, St. John XXIII Catholic Parish and A Place to Be Spirituality Center.
