Downtown Port’s newest artwork unveiled

A crowd gathered at the corner of Franklin Street and Grand Avenue in downtown Port Washington Saturday for the unveiling of a sculpture and the ribbon cutting for the Harborview Corner, a Port Main Street Inc. project that also includes a bench and planter. The sculpture, titled The Fifth Day, was done by Port High School student Renata Commare (above), who explained the piece represents bravery, strength, courage, perseverance and the choice to fly free.                    Photos by Sam Arendt
