Donation could be a real lifesaver

When Ozaukee Elementary School needed a new automated external defibrillator to replace an old unit, the Fredonia Lions Club stepped up and donated $1,700. Showing off the new unit last week were (from left) Northern Ozaukee School Supt. Dave Karrels, Jason Caswell, the district’s safety coordinator and Waubeka fire chief, and Lions Club president Chris Jante and member Frank Peterson. The School District has four AEDs, one in each of its schools and a fourth that is carried by its athletic trainer. Photo by Sam Arendt
