Domestic violence to be discussed March 2

“The Lens of Advocacy on Domestic Violence” will be presented at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 2, at the Milwaukee Ale House in Grafton.

The lunch presentation, part of the Beyond the Headlines series, will include a panel discussion by Ozaukee County Sheriff Christy Knowles, Advocates of Ozaukee Executive Director Barb Fischer, Convergence Resource Center Executive Director Debbie Lassiter and Dominique Pritchett, a therapist and owner of Beloved Wellness Center in Kenosha.

The presentation, sponsored by Impact

100 Greater Milwaukee, will delve into the topic of domestic violence, which has been called the “shadow pandemic” since it increased significantly during the Covid 19 pandemic.

Human and sex trafficking are also on the rise and are intricately intertwined in the domestic abuse epidemic.
