Diversity talk, festival to be held in Cedarburg
Two activities to encourage diversity and understanding will be held in Cedarburg this week.
“Building Bridges: A Community Conversation” will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 22, at the Cedarburg Community Gym.
The evening will begin with short films and continue with a multi-cultural and intergenerational panel discussion.
The inaugural Peace in the Park Festival, intended to celebrate diversity, equity and inclusion, will kick off at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 24, at Cedar Creek Park.
The festival will include a youth soccer tournament, live music and poetry.
The artists, food trucks and vendors will include Jamaican Fair Trade, Twisted Plants, Vibez-Creative Arts Space, Blooming Minds, Yummy Bones and ESRMke-Community Based Art.
The free events are sponsored by Cedarburg’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.
