Dekora Woods business expansions approved
The Saukville Community Development Authority on Tuesday approved two expansions in the Dekora Woods business park.
One proposal is to add 61,000 square feet to the Engineered Exhaust Systems facility at 800 N. Dekora Woods Rd. that would double the facility’s size.
The expansion project is valued at $2.12 million, will include 27 new parking spaces and mainly be used for warehouse operations, according to documents submitted to the village.
The addition was projected when the company first moved into the business park in 2015, documents show.
Engineered Exhaust Systems, which employs 50 people, manufactures exhaust systems and other components for the outdoor power products industry.
The other proposal is to add 19,722 square feet of manufacturing space and offices to the existing manufacturing facility for Pope Scientific at 351 N. Dekora Woods Blvd.
The Pope Scientific project is valued at $2.5 million. It will include the addition of 27 parking spots.
Pope Scientific President Geoffrey K. Martin told the committee that the company has grown in the last two years from 32 to 52 employees.
Pope manufactures chemical processing equipment, laboratory apparatus and distillation-processing equipment.
The committee also approved a third project, a 720-square-foot track-side shed at Charter Steel that would be used for storing materials used to ship products by rail.
