David Roos

David W. Roos of West Bend died unexpectedly at his home on Friday, Oct. 11.  He was 66.  

Mr. Roos was born in Port Washington on Sept. 24, 1953, to Warren and Geraldine Culver Roos. He graduated from Port Washington High School in 1972 and married Karen Huberty on June 30, 1973. They had two daughters, Carey and Nikki.

He later married Debbie Poulakos, whom he met work, on July 13, 2019, after being together 13 years.

Mr. Roos was employed at Builders Hardware and Hollow Metal in Menomonee Falls the past 25 years.  

He loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and friends.

He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, motorcycle riding, four-wheeling and spending time up north with his best friend Don Binkoski.

Mr. Roos is survived by his wife Debbie Poulakos, daughter Carey (Joe Piatek) Dobush; grandchildren Kaela Dobush, Olivia Piatek and Hannah Piatek; and brother Dale Roos.

He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother Ellie Roos, his first wife Karen; daughter Nikki Jo Roos; and brothers Danny and Dennis.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 18, at Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. on Friday until the service at the funeral home.
