County Art Show winners announced

The Cedarburg Cultural Center and Ozaukee County Art Committee have announced the winners of the 76th annual Ozaukee County Art Show.

The show runs through Saturday, April 16, at the Cultural Center.

It features artworks from 83 adult artists and 119 students from five of Ozaukee’s high schools — Cedarburg, Grafton, Homestead, Port Washington and Ozaukee — alongside a “Gallery of Student Art” featuring 300 works from Cedarburg’s public and parochial elementary and middle schools, including First Immanuel Lutheran, Parkview, St. Francis Borgia, Thorson, Webster Transitional and Westlawn.

Winners of the art show from the adult professional division are Al Buss, Diane Boer-Henke, Karla Byl, Paula Hare, Joan Hollnagel, Tom Ingrassia, Nathan Kilps, Jewell Riano-Bradley and Kathy Winter.

In the adult amateur division, ribbons were awarded to Marilyn Axt, Charlotte Castleberry, Susan Bailey Gattoni, Dan Pierce, Lauren Schreiner and Jerry Steingraeber.

The exhibit was judged by Marcia Gorra-Patek, an award-winning artist and teacher whose work has been shown and recognized in Japan, France, Germany and throughout the United States.

The Cedarburg Cultural Center at W62 N546 Washington Ave. is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and from noon to 4 p.m.  Sundays.
