Cops and kids set aside a day for fun

Cops are famous doughnut experts, but young Mila Barrett and Eve Hertig gave Ozaukee County Sheriff Christy Knowles (left in top photo) a run for her money during a doughnut eating contest at the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office Cops and Kids event at the county fairgrounds in Cedarburg on May 7. Counter-clockwise from left in photos above: Mariella Bienlein showed off her fingerprints during the event, which gave children a chance to meet the deputies who protect them and learn what they do for a living. Hudson and Grant Tebeest looked good in deputy hats and sunglasses. With the help of Cpl.
