Coping with winter blues is program topic

“Coping with the Winter Blues: Self-Care for Depressed Mood” will be discussed from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, at Ozaukee Family Services.

Increased isolation, decreased activity, stressful family holidays and a lack of sunshine can take their toll in winter, and this workshop is intended to help people come up with ways to deal with it.

The talk, which will be facilitated by North Shore Center psychotherapists Jenny Strom and Melissa Nelson. aims to provide tangible ways to get ahead of the winter blues using evidence-based strategies for self-care.

Free limited childcare is available during the program but  advanced registration is required.
