The Saukville Plan Commission gave approval for a hair salon and a kitchen and bathroom remodeler to move into the village last week.

Ward Kitchen and Bath is a remodeling company with 13 years of experience in the area.

The company is owned by husband and wife team Greg and Kim Ward.

Kim is an interior designer certified by the National Kitchen and Bath Association with experience managing the contractor division for a national home improvement company. Greg started in the trades installing high-end doors with his father in Chicago  before working in the plumbing, electrical and cabinet-making industries.

They plan to use the lower part of the building at 265 E. Green Bay Ave. as a showroom.

The 1,000-square-foot space will include kitchen and bath displays, along with a sitting area.

The showroom is currently being remodeled and is expected to be open by appointment this fall.

The Wards wrote in a letter to the commission that the showroom is intended to “give our clients a better experience by offering all the selections for their remodel in one space.”

“I think it’s a great addition to the village and that location specifically,” Village Administrator Dawn Wagner said.

Ward has four employees, according to the document submitted to the commission.

At the same meeting, Shear Color by Rahchelle hair salon at 460 E. Green Bay Ave. was approved.

The one to two stylist salon will do coloring, haircuts and facial waxing services.

The business will be one of several tenants at the building, Wagner said.
