Church hosts food drive to benefit Port Food Pantry
A drive-up food drive to benefit the Port Food Pantry will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 15, at Grand Avenue United Methodist Church in Port Washington.
People are asked to place the items to be donated in a bag and place them in their trunk or hatchback. People with gloves and masks will remove them from the vehicles to avoid contact during the pandemic.
Among the items most needed by the food pantry are Manwich, taco shells, taco seasonings, soup crackers, Goldfish crackers, soup with meat, canned fruit and fruit cups, spam, chili, flavored rice, cooking oil, sugar, mayonnaise, paper towels, and toilet paper.
The church is at 505 W. Grand Ave.
