CG-Belgium shells mistake-ridden Ozaukee

The Cedar Grove-Belgium High School baseball team took care of business at home against a rival on May 16.
The Rockets scored in each of the first four innings and beat Ozaukee, 12-0, in a game shortened to five innings by the mercy rule.
Jacob Norris allowed one hit and one walk while whiffing six and hitting two batters in five innings.
Norris had two hits, including a double, and two RBI. Deven Soerens had two hits, including a double, and scored three runs.
Carter Schmitz had one hit and two RBI, Colton Sellin had a hit and an RBI and Cade Borden had a hit and RBI and scored three runs.
For Ozaukee, Sawyer Kowalkowski got the Warriors’ hit.
The Warriors committed six errors.
Connor Rennicke pitched two innings and allowed six hits and 10 runs (six earned), walking three. Kowalkowski pitched two innings and allowed three hits and two runs (one earned), whiffing four and walking three.
The Rockets last Thursday beat Manitowoc Lutheran, 5-4, on the road.
Cade Borden had two hits and two RBIs, Seth Race and two hits and one RBI and Brayden Oelhafen had a hit and an RBI.
Jude Ackeret allowed one four runs (one earned) and seven hits in seven innings, whiffing nine and walking one.
The Rockets on Monday lost at Mishicot, 4-3. Borden, Parker Knight and Ackeret each had a hit and an RBI.
Norris allowed four runs (one earned) in three innings, whiffing two and alking three. Ackeret allowed two hits, whiffing five and walking one in three scoreless innings.
Cedar Grove-Belgium finished 8-4 in the Big East Conference and 9-10 overall.
The No. 9-seeded Rockets play at No. 8 Green Lake/Princeton on Thursday, May 25.
Last Thursday, Ozaukee lost to visiting Kohler, 6-3. The Warriors had four hits.
Tyler D’Angelo pitched 5-2/3 innings, allowing three hits and four earned runs, walking six and whiffing three.
Kowalkowski, Nolan Aberle and Skyler Mills each had an RBI.
Last Friday, the Warriors lost to Manitowoc Lutheran, 9-2.
Kowalkowski had two hits.
On Monday, the Warriors lost to Dominican, 4-3. The Warriors had four hits. Kowalkowski had their only RBI.
D’Angelo allowed two runs (one earned) and three hits in 3-1/3 innings, whiffing three and walking two. Kowalkowski allowed two earned runs and three hits in 3-2/3 innings, whiffing seven and walking two.
Ozaukee finished 4-8 in the Big East and 4-12 overall. The No. 13-seeded Warriors play at No. 4 Laconia on Thursday, May 25.
