CG-Belgium looking for new athletic director
Cedar Grove-Belgium School District administrators hope to have a contract for a new athletic director for the School Board to approve at its Aug. 11 meeting.
The athletic director position was half time until Scott Parsons led the charge to start a recreation department, which increased the position to full time.
This year, the district split the two positions again, and Parsons was back to being part-time athletic director.
Parsons recently got a job as the athletic, recreation and pool director for the Tomahawk School District.
“I really enjoyed my five years at Cedar Grove-Belgium, and I’ll stay in touch with many friends I made there,” Parsons said.
“I feel very lucky to have worked with Josh Ketterhagen as our principal — he’s as good as they come.”
The district in spring hired Jacob Maechtle as the health and fitness director. He is in charge of the pool and fitness center.
The Aug. 11 School Board meeting starts at 7 p.m. in the high school library.
