Celebrating summer, Grafton High athletics

One of the hallmarks of summer in Grafton is the Grafton High School Athletic Booster Club’s Corn Roast, and it returned to Veterans Memorial Park on Sunday Aug. 22 with plenty of activities and, of course, hundreds of cobs of perfectly roasted sweet corn. Enjoying the signature food was Adison Wundrock (above left), while (from left in above right photo) Brett Manuel, Rita Pampel and Chris Tsui kept the corn coming. Some spirited action on the basketball court (top right) was also part of the fun. The corn roast is the club’s largest fundraiser. Proceeds from the event benefit all Grafton High School athletic programs. Photos by Sam Arendt
