Celebrating learning with some fun and games

Thomas Jefferson Middle School students and staff members celebrated the end of the third quarter, as well as what the Port Washington school calls the Jaguar Way of being respectful, responsible and safe, with minute-to-win-it games just before spring break at the end of last month. Clockwise from top photo: Ethan Rangel worked quickly to slide a toothbrush down two strings with some encouragement from teacher Beth Wehner. Joey Zinuticz attempted to wrap Charles Kolbach in a single strand of toilet paper. Makayla O’Brien raced to move cups from the bottom to the top of her stack. The only way Paige Borchardt was going to get to enjoy the Oreo cookie resting on her eye was if she could roll it down her face to her mouth without using her hands.    Photos by Sam Arendt
