Celebrating the arts and spirituality

Checking out the offerings in a silent auction during A Place to Be Spirituality Center’s gala on Jan. 30 were (from left) Dana McMullin, Cara McMullin and Rae Valoon. In addition to the silent auction, the event at the Ozaukee Nonprofit Center included food and beverages, live art creation demonstrations, a wine pull and a creative corner where guests could make their own art. The event was intended to celebrate art, community and spiritual growth while raising money to support the center’s programming, which includes book discussions, art workshops, social gatherings and contemplative practices.       Photo by Sam Arendt
