Celebrating art while raising money for murals in Port

The Paint on Port effort to bring a variety of murals to the community is entering its third year in 2025, and organizers held a Paint on Port Soiree Saturday to not only celebrate the program but also raise money for next year’s paintings. The evening included (clockwise from left) a live auction led by Tracy Milkowski, who served as auctioneer as Judy Cotter of Paint on Port committee held up the piece being auctioned. Donna and Paul Grady checked out the pieces offered as part of a silent auction held at the event, while Dennis and Lyn Johnson took a look at some of the art on display at the Mercantile Plaza, where the event was held. Denise Lampen held a portrait done in a “Picasso-esque style” by two artists, Elizabeth MacCrimmon and Debra Kosup, who billed themselves as Madame E. and Madame D. The event raised about $10,000 for next year’s Paint on Port effort.                Photos by Sam Arendt
