Cast of Dr. Seuss characters to take the stage in Port

Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat, Thing 1 and Thing 2 and a host of other Dr. Seuss characters were on stage Saturday rehearsing for Thomas Jefferson Middle School’s presentation of Seussical Jr. at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, and 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at the Port Washington High School Performing Arts Center. Starring in the musical that brings favorite Dr. Seuss stories to life are Simon Gilhooly as Horton the Elephant, Josephine Ryder as the Cat in the Hat, Aliyah Streicher as JoJo Who, Kylee Olson as Gertrude McFuzz and Amanda Crass as Mayzie La Bird. Tickets are $7 for regular seat and $10 for premiere seats and can be purchased at www.hometowntickets.com/events/seussical-junior. The Performing Arts Center is at 427 W.
