Brooks earns award from League
State Rep. Rob Brooks (R-Saukville) received the Legislative Champion Award from the League of Wisconsin Municipalities last week.
Brooks was lauded for his work in the Legislature, which included writing numerous bills.
They include 2021 Wisconsin Act 162, which standardized the process for collecting interest on claims for unlawful property tax; Assembly Bill 21, relating to the creation of a state aid program to help municipalities cover the cost of conducting state office special elections; and Assembly Bill 60, allowing municipalities to publish meeting minutes on their website.
Municipal Champion awards are given to state legislators for their leadership in supporting local governments in Wisconsin.
Brooks also received the Municipal Champion Award during the 2017-2018 legislative session.
