Breaking ground for Port’s newest church

A groundbreaking ceremony for Lakeside Alliance Church in the Prairie’s Edge subdivision on Port Washington’s south bluff, held Aug. 16, was attended by (left photo, from left) elder Seth Ogden, Prairie’s Edge developer Tony Polston of Black Cap Halcyon, elder Kyle Patch, the Rev. Jon Vallier and elder Bill Curtis. Vallier addressed those gathered after the ceremony (photo below). The church held a welcome picnic in Veterans Park on Aug. 19 that drew a crowd, including (lower right photo) Ezra, 2, Beniah, 5, and Mary Hoke. The church will be one of two tenants in a commercial building at 1081 Shieling La. Photos by Sam Arendt
