It’s homecoming week at Grafton High School and elected to help lead the celebration were court members (front row, from left) Juna Eberman, Mia McKinnis, Khiah King, Charlotte Barnett, Grace Uttke, Bella Goodwin, Bella Windsor, Molly French, Emily Sewell, Arianna Fuentes, (back row) Adi Manchadani, Luke Hanson, Peyton Wissmueller, Carter Marien, Miles Muilenburg, Christian Hansen, Tyler Heinle, Nick Schiller, Tyler Deer and Black Rau. Olivia Ruff (left) helped decorate the school by drawing a national landmark — the Statue of Liberty — on a window in keeping with the theme for the week — Around the World in One Night. The celebration ramps up on Thursday, Sept. 25, with a 6 p.m. parade that starts at 11th Avenue and Broad Street, travels east on Broad Street, north on 13th Avenue, west on Bridge Street and north on 17th Avenue to enter the high school grounds at the tennis courts. There will be a pep rally and powderpuff football games on Kellner Field that night. On Friday, the Black Hawks varsity football team will square off against Greenfield at 7 p.m. There will be fireworks before, during and after the game. A dance will be held Saturday at the school, with the grand march at 9:30 p.m.
