Betty Mans

Betty Mans died of complications of Alzheimer’s disease at Harbor Campus senior living in Port Washington Thursday, Oct. 3.  She was 83.  

Mrs. Mans was born in Michigan on Oct. 17, 1935, to Louis and Marcella Eland Frederiksen. On July 16, 1953, she married Ronald Mans at St. James Lutheran Church in Marinette.    

Her family said she was an avid gardener and was a member of the Herb Society of America and the Wisconsin Chapter of the Natural Food Associates.

She was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Port and served as the church historian for many years.

Mrs. Mans is survived by her children Randy (Karen) of Fox River Grove, Ill., and Chris (Steve) Baughman of Brown Deer; grandchildren Nick and Alex Mans and Jason (Scott Luther) Baughman.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald on Feb. 1, 2018.

A private family funeral will be held.

Memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association, Christ the King Lutheran Church or a charity of the donor’s choice are suggested.
