Benzschawel honors roll on

Grafton alumnus named First Team All-American by the Associated Press

Already named to the Big Ten’s first team at guard for the second straight season, senior Beau Benzschawel has been named a First Team All-American by the Associated Press.

Last year, Benzschawel was selected to  the Third Team.

Benzschawel’s blocking helped open holes for sophomore running back Jonathan Taylor, who leads the nation with 1,989 rushing yards.

Taylor was named to the First Team as well, and the Badgers’ senior left guard Michael Dieter made the Second Team.

Benzschawel, a 2014 graduate of Grafton High School, has been invited to play in the Senior Bowl on Jan. 26 in Mobile, Ala., and then go to California to train for the NFL Combine from Feb. 26 to March 4 in Indianapolis.
