Benefit chili cookoff set for Feb. 22 at Legion hall

The sixth annual Robert “Bob” Flynn Memorial Chili Cookoff to benefit veterans will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at the  Landt-Thiel American Legion Hall, 601 W. Dekora St., in Saukville.

The event is sponsored by the Second District American Legion Riders, an organization of veterans who ride motorcycles in parades and other events and promote motorcycle safety.

The Second District includes Columbia, Dodge, Jefferson, Ozaukee, Washington and Sheboygan counties.

Tickets at the door are $10, which includes chili but not the cost of other food items. Children 12 and younger eat for free but do not get to vote in the chili contest.

Music will be provided. There also will be raffles, including a 50/50 drawing, food and drink.
