Art studio to hold final show of the year

The Old Town Hall Studio and Gallery in Belgium will hold its final scheduled show beginning Saturday, Sept. 19.

An opening reception for Elastic Strategies featuring Copper Diers will be held from 2 to 8 p.m.

Diers is a musician and artist from Sheboygan.

His most recent work is focused on synthesizing his perspective as an improvising musician with his visual work.

Diers’ desire to replicate experiential states induced from sound through visuals is inverted from the synesthesia experience of hearing sound in visual manifestations. That synesthetic experience is consistent in Diers’ perspective that distorts his sensory process; cross-pollinating the roles of gesture, contour, texture, dimensionality, composition, form, and dynamics as interchangeable audio-visual properties.
