Art studio to hold final show of year

An opening reception for an exhibit of the works of three artists will be held at the Old Town Hall Art Studio and Gallery from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7.

Cut, Torn and Shredded is the title of the exhibit.

Kelly Alexander will exhibit papercutting work, featuring the interaction between the female figure and nature.

Gene Mihleisen will exhibit torn heavy watercolor paper, creating dynamics not available through conventional watercolor methods.

Studio co-owner Don Urness will exhibit pieces made of recycled paper pulp. Urness teaches art at Cedar Grove-Belgium High School.

The studio is at 814 Main St., Belgium.
