Art museum names interim director
John E. Bauer has been appointed interim director of the Cedarburg Art Museum as the museum board seeks a director to succeed outgoing executive director Jen Gerber.
Bauer is a member of the museum’s board of directors. He is expected to fill the director’s position until a candidate for the position is identified.
Bauer brings extensive leadership experience to the position and will work closely with the museum staff and volunteers to ensure a “strong and successful finish to the year,” Tom Felmer, president of the board of directors, said in announcing the appointment.
“John will be working at the museum every day ... He has been a strong and supportive board member, and I look forward to his positive impact on the museum through this position and beyond,” Felmer wrote in the announcement.
The museum at W63 N675 Washington Ave. is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays.
