Art museum to host holiday events

The Cedarburg Art Museum has finalized plans for its holiday exhibits and events.

On Friday evenings through the season, the museum will offer family photo backdrops, freshly baked cookies, children’s art projects and face painting, libations and hot cocoa.

Depending on the weather, the Sculpture Garden and its Lakefront Brewery tap house will be open serving beer, wine and non-alcoholic and hot beverages that can be enjoyed around the fire pits and patio heaters.

The current exhibit is “A Decade of Collection Acquisitions,” which runs throughout the holiday season.

The museum gift shop has works from more than 70 local artists, from oil paintings and photography prints to jewelry, ceramics and children’s books.

“A Creative Place: The History of Wisconsin Art” by Thomas Lidtke and Annemarie Sawkins will be available with a 20% discount through December.
