Arlene Bahr
Arlene L. Bahr of the Town of Belgium died Sunday, Feb. 3, at Gables on the Pond in Random Lake. She was 87.
She was born April 15, 1931, in Milwaukee to Jacob and Verona Buechler Schaller.
On April 23, 1955, she and Virgil Bahr were married at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lake Church.
They farmed in the Town of Belgium until Mr. Bahr’s death on Nov. 20, 1985.
Mrs. Bahr was employed at Holiday Trim in Belgium, retiring in 1995.
Her hobbies were crocheting afghans and making hand-pieced quilts for her children and grandchildren. She also made many other quilts and afghans, which she donated to area churches. Mrs. Bahr also enjoyed putting together puzzles, which she sometimes made into pictures.
Mrs. Bahr is survived by her children Joyce Sandee of Random Lake, Michael (Lisa) of Belgium, Thomas (Brenda) of Random Lake and William (Rhonda) of Random Lake; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister Betty (Ed) Streff of Belgium; and brother Donald Schaller.
She was preceded in death by her husband; infant daughter Yvonne; brother Norman Schaller; son-in-law Roy Sandee; and sister-in-law Marlene Schaller.
A private family service will be held, officiated by Father Jim Ernster. Burial will be at Divine Savior Parish cemetery, Lake Church Chapel.
