Alzheimer’s walk to be held on Sept. 28
Ozaukee County’s annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be held Saturday, Sept. 28, at the bandshell in Veteran’s Memorial Park.
The event opens at 8:30 a.m., with the opening ceremony at 9:40 a.m. and the walk at 10 a.m.
Team Rehabilitation will lead a pre-walk stretch and warm-up.
Participants can enjoy a kids’ tent with temporary tattoos, coloring sheets and face painting, as well as a caregiver sanctuary offering chair massages and giveaway items.
The Andrew David Weber Band will perform as walkers return from the route, and the Yummy Bones BBQ food truck will be onsite at the conclusion of the walk.
The walk is chaired by Allyson Olivier, who has led the event since its inception, along with Carol Wessels and Christy Stemm.
