Adolph Thill

Adolph Thill of Grafton had a knack for remembering important moments in people’s lives.

“He had a very good memory for birthdays, weddings and other major events,” his brother Wally said.

He also said Mr. Thill was a quiet man, but everyone enjoyed his company.

Mr. Thill died of heart failure on Friday, May 3, at Dekora Springs Assisted Living Facility in Saukville. He was 83 years old.

He was born on the family farm in the Town of Port Washington on Oct. 25, 1935, to Nicholas and Rose Arendt Thill. He grew up working on the farm, and later worked at Portal Industries as a janitor.

He was a member of Divine Savior Parish — Holy Cross Chapel in Belgium, and enjoyed bowling with his friends at Circle B Recreation.

Mr. Thill is survived by his brother Wally (Mary Ann) Thill of Fredonia.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Harold.

A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, May 10, at Divine Savior Parish — Holy Cross Chapel in Belgium. Father Todd Budde will preside.

Visitation will be at the church on Friday, from 10 a.m. until the service.

Interment will be at Holy Cross Parish Cemetery.

Memorials to Portal Industries or Divine Savior Parish are suggested.

Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington, is handling the arrangements.
