Accident sends four to two hospitals

A driver who didn’t yield the right of way on Highway D east of Highway K in the Town of Belgium shortly after 7:30 a.m. Saturday injured four people, according to an Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office release. A 2003 Toyota Tundra traveling east on Highway D turned into a driveway in front of a westbound 2011 Ford F350 towing a trailer. The 60-year-old Brown Deer man driving the Toyota suffered minor injuries and was taken to Aurora Medical Center in Grafton. His passenger, a 53-year-old Milwaukee woman, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa via a Flight for Life helicopter. A 46-year-old Belgium man who was driving the Ford suffered minor injuries and his passenger, a 69-year-old Belgium man, suffered serious injuries.
