‘The Wild Robot’ to be shown on Sept. 5

“The Wild Robot” will be shown at Port Washington’s Veterans Memorial Park Friday, Sept. 5.

The film, which is rated PG, is a 2024 animated science fiction piece that follows a service robot that is shipwrecked on an uninhabited island and must adapt to the surroundings, build relationship with the local wildlife and become the adoptive mother of an orphaned goose.

The film, part of the Friday Night Flicks series sponsored by the Port Washington Parks and Recreation Department, will be shown at dusk.

Families are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to sit on.
