Cedarburg residents set pace for men, women in annual county tournament
Cedarburg residents Jon Jacobs and Stacy Pritzl captured top honors in this year’s Ozaukee County Golf Tournament.
Jacobs won the overall men’s title by shooting a two-round 138 in the 33rd annual competition, which was held July 26 to 29 at Hawthorne Hills Golf Course in
the Town of Saukville and Mee-Kwon Park Golf Course in Mequon.
Jacobs finished two strokes ahead of Jared Deleaux in the men’s championship flight. Deleaux placed second in the same flight last year.
Pritzl won the women’s championship flight with a score of 178, well ahead of runner-up Nancy Tolocko, who shot 188.
Bob Schroeder won the senior men’s championship flight with a score of 155, and Bill McGaw took the super senior men’s championship at 157.
The senior women’s title went to Sue Wassenberg, who carded 172 to successfully defend her crown.
Among boys, Jack Dorward won the championship flight for ages 15 to 17. He shot 156.
Peter Dorward placed first in the boys’ 12 to 15 championship flight with 165.
More than 170 golfers participated in the tournament, which is open to county residents.
